We just finished the first rehearsing session for our upcoming debut album.
Currently we're working a lot on drum arrangements since the drums will be the first to be recorded. We will of course work to improve all elements and structures of the songs eventually. Just to ensure that you, the fan get the best album Astralion can provide.
From Astralion's whole production so far which includes 16 songs, 11 have been carefully chosen for the record. It's been a really hard task because there was so much great material to choose from.
We have also been granted a generous financial contribution from Svenska Kulturfonden (the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland.) Which will certainly help in paying the studio fees. Whether the record will be released through a label or independently is not yet decided but one thing's for sure, our “beast” will be released!
The recording sessions will start in the beginning of July and continue towards the fall of 2013. So stay tuned for more news!

After a quite amazing year together the Astralion camp has decided to part ways with drummer Mr. Voltage. This was a mutual decision and there are no hard feelings towards each other.
So now the drummer search begins! What we're looking for is a guy:

- Who has some live experience, loves playing gigs and being on the road!
- Who's having enough technical skills to play speed/power Metal (fluid in double pedal)!
- Who has studio experience (able to play to a click track).
- Who has drive, ambition and dedication!

Usually in this business when somethings go wrong, they really go wrong. Perhaps you could call it ”The Spinal Tap” factor.
Yesterday was our official music video release party and there we were,venue booked, all arrangements done but with no video to show.
We didn't recieve the final version of the video, and we didn't want to show you any "half-done" version of the video. This really sucks but
we just can't help it 'cause it's not in our hands. There's been problems since the beginning with actors scedules, technical problems you name it.
And worst of all they seem to continue!
We will release the song "At The Edge Of The World" as a downloadable single, and when we get the final version of the video then we'll
upload it to web. But at this point we can't tell you when it's gonna happen, because we simply don't know...
Big thanks to Hank Productions for organizing the "video release party". After all it was a great evening with great bands
like Bad Monk's Hill and Sinful Nation. And we had a good time.
And sorry to all the people that came particularly to see our music video.
